Getting your family prepared to head back to school, can be difficult especially after a long, fun-filled summer. Here are a few of our favorite Back to School Tips to help you along the way.

1. Back-to-School Supplies Checklist - Backpack? Check. Pencils? Check. Safety scissors? Not Yet. Use the same checklist each time you head out to grab supplies, to keep track of what you have already purchased and the things you still need to. These are also handy if you have more than one child. Simply print 2, 3, 4 list and add their name to the top.

I like to buy value packs because they give me a great value. I also use coupons and get a lot of my school supplies free, or for pennies. My best tip is to bring the stuff home, label the supplies with my girls names, and pack it away in their book-bags so it doesn't get loss or used before school starts.

Hot Find! Daily Rehash is a hot new webisode!

Hey everyone! I hope everyone is staying cool!!! It's super hot here in NY!

New York is in the grips of a stifling heatwave/high humidity spell that's been really unsafe for a lot of people! It's just too hot for my girls to go outside, they want to stay cool in the air, playing on computers, ipods, and smart phones. If we wanna get moving, we put on the Wii! (yay for excercise in the AC!!)
When I am successful in prying them from my laptop from my kids, the first thing I do is catch up on my twitter, blog, and e-mails. If any of you know my online rep, you know I am a certifiable Twitt-a-holic. Especially on Sunday, when #NASCAR is on! When it isn't (Sad!) I like to cheer up with funny videos.
I'm always checking out the newest and most interesting stuff from the web too!

So today during my surfing around, I came across +Daily ReHash on YouTube and checked out a webisode or two. The webisodes catches you up with the trending topics on Twitter, and they do it all in 140 seconds or less. Daily Rehash is from Ora.Tv! Ora.Tv was launched by the one and only, Larry King!!!!! 

Check out Daily Rehash on YouTube, Subscribe to their videos, and let me know in the comments what your favorite episode is so far! They are super quick videos so I've been watching them here and there, and the Slurpee one is my favorite so far! The end is freaking hilarious!

Starting my Christmas list!!!!!!

Hey everyone! How's your summer going so far? Have you and your families done anything exciting yet?!?! Please share below!! :D I love reading your comments! As for my family and I, we went to Pocono Raceway in June for a #NASCAR race! It was an awesome experience! One of my favorite things about Pocono Raceway is the fact it is completely powered by a solar field, located right across the country road! I tried to get some pics while we were in traffic!

They said the field was about 25 acres!!!!



 Also, we went and saw Despicable Me 2 3D in the theatre, for my Honey J's birthday! It was my first time seeing a 3D movie, and baby K's first time at the movies!!

Anyhow, while I was sitting in the theatre, I was thinking about all the Holidays still to come this year.

After J's birthday, there are 2 more birthdays (including mine!), Thanksgiving, Christmas! Oh my! Christmas is in about 6 months!!!!! Eeeek!


Luckily for me, I've already started making a mental list! Now if someone asks me what I might want as a gift, instead of saying "I don't know" or "whatever, I don't really care" I start rattling off a list... Most of my list is kitchen items, since that's where I spend most of my time... The kitchen is the hub of our family and our home. It's where we gather to sing Happy Birthday, prepare all our Holiday meals, we toast to happiness and love and all that is good in our kitchen.

So, my list incudes mostly kitchen appliances. My microwave is an oddball red color, while the rest of my kitchen appliances are stainless steel...definitely need to make a change!! I certainly wouldn't mind a state of the art stainless steel microwave!

I feel I cannot go another summer without a countertop ice maker... it's definitely a necessity! If I had an ice maker and a fryer, I'd be one happy momma!! No turning on my over from June-September!! Sounds like a dream to me!

When it comes to quality kitchen appliances, one name is on the tip of my tongue.  Amana. The company even has a nice ring to it, and the name slides of my tongue with ease. I started searching their appliances (that way I can put an item number next to the wish list item! hehehe!)
